Covering the dial is a scratch resistant domed sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating, so it will remain looking new for years.
Surrounding the dial is a bi-directional bezel that clicks into place with satisfying detents. This allows you to track a third time zone if desired, just rotate the bezel so the GMT time you desire aligns with the GMT hand. The bezel insert is lumed sapphire.
